Baga: Stating that the government is unnecessarily spending money in getting tourists to Goa, Minister of Waste Management Michael Lobo said he has been personally following the permission for arrival of charter flights in the State.
While inauguration Goa’s first Smart street at Tito’s lane Baga, Lobo said he has been personally following the approvals for charter landings.
“If needed I will take an appointment with Home Minister Amit Shah and get approvals,” he said
On the erection of shacks ahead of season, Lobo said Shacks are important to get tourists on the beaches and we are working to get it as soon as possible.
“Quality of tourism has gone down since 2005. But now to get quality tourists, it’s the locals who have to work because changes in policy won’t get good Tourists. We accept the challenges to make changes and We don’t need specialised agencies to take farward tourism. Goans are very well capable to take tourism ahead”, Lobo added.
