PONDA: A pillion rider sustained a fracture injury after a motorcycle accident near Ponda Municipality on September 22.
According to police, at around 1:45 pm, accused rider Hrishikesh Desai, resident of Gogol-Margao, was proceeding from HDFC Bank, Tisk Ponda, towards the Old Bus Stand on his motorcycle. While riding in a rash and negligent manner, he rammed into a taxi motorcycle from behind near Ponda Municipality.
As a result, the pillion rider of the taxi motorcycle, identified as Geeta Tuekar of Margao, fell on the road along with the rider and sustained a fracture injury to her leg.
Ponda Police have registered the case, and further investigation is being carried out by Head Constable Vinod Naik.
