LOUTOLIM: A pillion rider died and the rider was grievously injured after a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle crashed into a road divider in the early hours of Sunday near the Aryaman Sai showroom.
According to a state complaint filed by ASI Hemant Gaude, the incident occurred on November 30, before 4:58 am, when Everist Gauncar, a resident of Arlem, Raia, allegedly rode his Kawasaki Ninja in a rash and negligent manner, resulting in the collision.
Both Gauncar and his pillion rider, Joliton Fernandes of Carvota, Loutolim, sustained grievous injuries in the crash. Fernandes later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, police said.
The case is under investigation by PSI Sanket Naik of Maina Curtorim Police Station.
