Nagpur witnessed a historic moment as Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), lauding its contributions to service and national consciousness. In a public gathering, PM Modi praised the RSS for its dedication to social service across the nation. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre, a new extension of the Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute & Research Centre. This facility is designed to provide affordable eye care services, including a 250-bed hospital and 14 modular operation theatres, underscoring the RSS’s vision of selfless service.
Modi visited the memorial of RSS founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar at Smruti Mandir, where he paid floral tribute alongside RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. This gesture reinforced the Prime Minister’s admiration for the RSS’s founding ideals. Additionally, PM Modi visited Deekshabhoomi, a significant site for Buddhists where Dr. BR Ambedkar embraced Buddhism, reinforcing his commitment to social justice and equality.
