Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 44 significant projects in Varanasi, amounting to an impressive investment of ₹3,880 crore. These initiatives aim to bolster rural development and enhance educational facilities, reflecting a strong commitment to the welfare of the local community.
The projects unveiled during this event encompass a diverse range of infrastructural and educational enhancements. Notably, the Prime Minister inaugurated 130 drinking water schemes, which are expected to greatly improve access to clean water for residents. The development also includes the establishment of 100 new Anganwadi centers, 356 libraries, a polytechnic college in Pindra, and a government degree college, which will provide vital educational resources for children and young adults in the region.
In addition to educational and water supply projects, PM Modi inaugurated vital infrastructure components, including a transit hostel at the police lines and police barracks in Ramnagar, designed to improve facilities for law enforcement personnel. The inauguration also included the opening of four rural roads, enhancing connectivity in the area.
The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, showcasing the collaborative efforts in advancing Varanasi’s development.
