PANAJI: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, will be visiting the State and will be Chief Guest for the main celebration for 60 years of Goa’s Liberation to be held at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Taleigao on December 19, 2021.
Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the renovated Fort Aguada, Verem; Super Specialty Block at Goa Medical College, Bambolim; South Goa District Hospital, Margao: Aviation Skill Development Centre at Mopa Airport, Mopa and Gas Insulated Sub- Station, Davorlim – Navelim on occasion.
The Prime Minister will also lay the Foundation Stone for India International University of Legal Education and Research of Bar Council of India Trust at Goa virtually.
Freedom Fighters and veterans of “Operation Vijay” will be felicitated at the hands of the Prime Minister.
Modi will place a Wreath at Martyr’s Memorial in the presence of a tri-service guard and later attend the Sail Parade and Fly-Past by the Navy and Air Force at Miramar Beach, Miramar, Panaji.
Awards to Government Departments/agencies for successful implementation of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Swayampurna Goa Scheme and the best Panchayats/ Municipalities/Best Swayampurna Mitras & Swayampurna Goa Programme beneficiaries will be given at the hands of Shri Modi. Cheques under ‘Goa@60’ to selected Municipalities/Panchayats will also be handed over at the hands of the Prime Minister.
Coffee Table Book on Atmanirbhar Bharat-Swayampurna Goa, along with My Stamp and Postal Cover, will also be released at the hands of Narendra Modi.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant will present Meghdoot Post Cards to commemorate the 60th year of Goa’s Liberation to the Prime Minister on occasion.
