VASCO: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday virtually inaugurated the “One Station One Product “program at the Vasco Railway station.
The virtual inauguration witnessed the presence of Governor Shreedharan Pillai besides Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Minister Alex Sequeira, MLAs Krishna Salkar, Sankalp Amonkar, MMC Chairperson Girish Borker and others
The Governor Shreedharan Pillai hailed the governance of PM Narendra Modi who had taken a lot of initiatives for the betterment of the public.
After the inauguration Governor Pillai said Goa is developing day by day especially with the Railways where so many programs are being launched in such short time.
“I met the PM Modi some time ago and discussed the Railway stations in the Konkani Railway sector and he took the initiative immediately and ordered programs through Railway Ministry which have started now. Stalls are the most visible part of any railway station and it is nice to have Goan products visible at the stalls in the Raikway stations,” said Pillai
Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade said that the various infrastructure projects had been virtually inaugurated by the PM Narendra Modi at 760 places across the country at a cost of Rs 85,000 crores
“One station ,one product has been inaugurated at Vasco and Sanvordem railway stations and stalls with bare minimum rent will have Goan products on sale so that the product gets popular. Some of the local Goan products include Kokum, Coconut Jaggery, Cashew nuts and other exclusive Goan products will be kept at these stalls,” said Tanavade.
