CANACONA: Officers from Prime Minister’s Office, New Delhi, visited the remote Khotigao village in Canacona Taluka for two days.
According to Khotigao Sarpanch Anandu Desai, the team of IAS and IPS Officers are on a study tour of the indigenous community’s living conditions, people’s needs and geographical conditions in the remotest of remote areas.
The Officers will submit their report to the PMO, informed Dessai.
According to Khotigao Sarpanch Anandu Desai, the New Delhi team had A consent letter issued by Collector (South) and Canacona Mamlatdar, and on Monday, the team visited the Panchyat body and explained their program.
The team was welcomed accordingly and extended all facilities to visit the remote places of Baddem, and Avali areas for the next two days, understanding the people’s problems and needs there.
Sarpanch Dessai informed after that, they also toured will visited the still interior remote areas of Nadkem, Keri and other interior parts of village in the panchayat area and came in contact with the residents.
Officers Yashwant Sinha, Akshay Pillay, Gautam Singh, Meher Panwad, Ravi Kumar, and Shamia were also part of the study tour team, informed Dessai.-
