CANACONA: Poinguinim Panchayat, the largest Panchayat in Canacona taluka is to usher in 19 developmental works before the commencement of monsoons in the taluka.
A development works of construction, repair and hotmixing of works is taken up at Mahalwada, the epicentre of Poinguinim village on Saturday at the hands of GLA Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar, Poinguinim Sarpanch Savita Ramesh Tawadkar, Dy Sarpanch Sunil Paingankar and others.
PWD engineers and officials were also present alongwith panch members.
The Panchayat Directorate has given administrative approval to Painguinim Panchayat for about 19 constructions from the GIA fund.
An expenditure of Rs. One Crore Twenty Two Lakh, Thirty Six thousand Nine Hundred Sixty Seven is expected on all these constructions.the 19 works includes Sewerage repair, Footbridge, Protective Wall, Roads etc. works will be started in all 9 wards of Panguinim Panchayat.
Sewerage’s will be constructed in the wards of Amone, Dabhel, Pasal, Galiem, Kudal, Kharegal, Mahalawada, Partagal. Road works in Amone while footbridge will be in Aframent, Khawat, Shisheval, Welwada, and Protection walls work will be done in Ardhafond and Mahalawada wards.
It is learnt that Sarpanch Savita Tawadkar and some panch members made special efforts to get these work approved. Welwada BJP Booth President Chandrika Pagi was also present on this occasion. Protective walls have been constructed at a total of three places in Mahalawada near Sapnil Painginkar’s house, near Anand Sudhir’s house, and near Vishwas Prabhugaonkar’s house.
