CALANGUTE: Goa Police have finally been given the custody of accused Azeez Asif who was involved in various chain snatching incidents across Bardez taluka.
Last week, Bangalore police was down in Goa with the accused as a part of recovery for cases registered in Karnataka.
The accussed identified as Azeez Asif is a resident of D J Halli Bangalore. Police have recovered motorcycle and ornaments.
A few days ago Asif
on a Honda Dio scooter, wearing a black colour jacket and helmet snatched the gold chain of the complainant weighing 10 grams worth Rs 50,000 from the victim while she was walking by the side of the road.
In this connection, Anjuna Police had registered offence under Section 356,379 IPC.
