QUEPEM: A police complaint against Avinash Tavares for posting derogatory posts upon the death of CDS Gen Bipin Rawat, Nagaland civilian killings and trying to provoke riots.
“One person named Avinash Tavares posted a derogatory post on his Facebook timeline upon the death of CDS Gen. Bipin Rawat in a helicopter crash. He mentions, “Rest in peace now at least Warmonger”. Upon asking by one individual as to whom he is referring, he is replying “Bipin Rawat”. He didn’t stop here; he posted one more post to disturb national security referring to Nagaland civilian killings,” the Complainant said.
The Complainant states that BJP’s own Nagaland president called killings of innocent civilians genocide and war crimes. Who was head of the forces that committed these crimes against its own people?
“This man was not brave. During CAA agitation, he falsely accused students lead masses and crowds to carry out arson and violence in cities and towns. His criticism of CAA protestors showed that he was a politician in uniform. Let’s stop sugar-coating his legacy. Legacies are as good as one last deed i.e. the deed best described by the Nagaland BJP President,” said Devidas.
The Complainant said that such posts are unacceptable and can disturb national security and lead to riot like situations in Goa by hurting the patriotic Indian citizens.
Meanwhile, the complainant has requested the police to file a case against Avinash Tavares, arrest him, and investigate if he has links to any terrorist organisation or enemy spy agencies.
