CALANGUTE: In preparation for the upcoming 2025–26 tourist season, a coordination meeting was held on November 4, 2025, at the Calangute Police Station, chaired by SDPO Porvorim, Vishwesh Karpe, and PI Calangute, Paresh Naik.
The meeting saw the participation of around 150 hotel and guesthouse owners, managers, and representatives from various accommodation establishments within Calangute Police jurisdiction.
Police officials stressed strict compliance with safety and security regulations governing the tourism and hospitality sector. Establishments were directed to ensure proper guest check-in procedures, maintain valid licenses, install CCTV systems, deploy adequate security staff, and complete employee verification through the Goa Police mobile app.
They were also reminded to adhere to permissible sound limits and music timings, prevent drug and tobacco use on their premises, and avoid employing touts or street agents to solicit customers.
Authorities urged full cooperation from stakeholders to help maintain Goa’s image as a safe, clean, and tourist-friendly destination. Police further appealed to establishments to coordinate closely with law enforcement on any security or law-and-order concerns to ensure a smooth, safe, and incident-free tourist season for both visitors and residents.
