State departments along with various colleges will adopt the villages to ensure that the grass root development happens in correct manner.
PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today said that policymakers would be called on to visit each of the 192 panchayats in Goa to draft the polices of the state government.
“We will be sending a team of policymakers from October 2 to all the 192 panchayats across Goa to draft and make the policies of the state government for the all round development of the state.” said CM Sawant in his address after unfurling the Tri-color in Panjim
He said, “The state government departments along with various colleges will adopt the villages to ensure that the grass root development happens in real terms.”
He further informed that Directorate of Higher Education, Department of Technical Education along with other departments have prepared a basic report to make the village panchayats and municipalities self sufficient.
The chief minister also announced that Citizen Service Centres would be commissioned in all the panchayats providing all the government facilities at the doorstep of the people.
Speaking on the COVID-19 front, the chief minister said that six testing labs are available in State and the 2500 tests are done on a daily basis.
“We have started 10 Covid care centers for asymptomatic patients. Few days ago we also commissioned SD Hospital in Ponda as a new designated Covid Hospital” CM informed
Meanwhile, CM said that under the Vande Bharat Mission, the Government got back many Goans and, sent almost 2 lakh people back to respective countries.
