New Delhi: Vav Tharad, Gujarat: Narendra Modi launched a strong criticism of the Indian National Congress while addressing a public gathering in Gujarat, accusing the opposition party of attempting to exploit global tensions for political gain. Speaking at an event in Vav Tharad, the Prime Minister said certain political groups were trying to create panic in the country at a time when unity and trust were needed.
Referring to the ongoing instability in West Asia, the Prime Minister noted that many nations around the world are facing difficulties due to rising concerns over fuel supplies such as petrol, diesel, and gas. Despite these challenges, he stated that India has managed to maintain stability while several other countries continue to struggle with economic and supply disruptions.
He stressed that difficult global circumstances demand cooperation and responsibility from all political forces. According to him, the current international situation has created pressure on economies and energy markets worldwide, making it important for the country to remain united and focused on stability.
The Prime Minister, however, accused the Congress party of attempting to take political advantage of the situation. He alleged that instead of supporting efforts to maintain public confidence, the opposition was spreading rumours and encouraging anxiety among citizens. He described this approach as an attempt to create an atmosphere of fear and confusion, suggesting that such tactics were aimed at triggering public unrest.
During his address, the Prime Minister also commented on recent political reactions to developments at the AI Summit Delhi, which he said had received global recognition. He claimed that frustration over being out of power had pushed some opposition leaders into reacting negatively despite the international appreciation received by the event.
The remarks formed part of a broader speech in which the Prime Minister highlighted India’s resilience amid global uncertainty, while urging political leaders to act responsibly and prioritise national stability during challenging times.
