Ponda: As part of preparations for the upcoming Ponda Bye-Election, a crucial organisational meeting was held in Ponda, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from party leaders and workers.
The meeting was attended by PCC General Secretaries Rajesh Verenkar and Manisha Usgaonkar, GPCC President Savio D’Silva, senior Congress leader John Pereira, Ponda Block President William Aguiar, South Goa Mahila District President Mamta Maben, GPCC Minority Chairman Wasim Khan, along with block-level office bearers and party functionaries.
Congress karyakartas, block members, Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and representatives of various frontal organisations participated in large numbers, reflecting the strong organisational unity and grassroots strength of the Congress Party.
Detailed deliberations were held on election strategy, booth-level coordination and further strengthening the organisation at the grassroots. Emphasis was laid on raising people’s issues, establishing direct contact with every voter and ensuring a people-centric campaign that genuinely represents the aspirations of the citizens of Ponda.
The Congress Party reiterated its firm commitment to democratic values, constitutional principles and collective responsibility.
With robust organisational preparedness, disciplined groundwork and growing public support, the Congress is confident of winning the Ponda Bye-Election.
