PONDA:KTC bus stand road plagued with huge potholes at various places at entry and exit road,besides parking bay also plagued with potholes making it hard for bus drivers to proceed through it.
The Kadamba bus terminus in Ponda happens to be a major interstate bus stand where commuters occupy the premises on a regular basis for travelling various parts of Goa, however the KTC bus stand parking bays as well as entry and exit roads are full of potholes and dangerous for commuters.
The existence of several large potholes not only looks ugly, but also causes inconvenience to buses entering at KTC bus stand.
KTC bus stand premises is full of potholes and also used by locals as RTO office is also located near KTC Premises. Beside college students also uses the KTC bus stand road which leading Farmagudi educational institutions and colleges.
Not only general public, college students especially bus drivers who struggles to drive through potholed road are demanding to repair and conduct hot mix carpeting of the road.
The Officials at PWD often says that they had made estimate for repair of road but so far no sign of repair and as monsoon is round the corner locals are demanding to repair the road. Viraj Sapre urged the PWD, KTC Authorities and Local MLA and Power Minister to solve the problems at earliest.
The KTC bus stand shed repair work is pending as also abandoned by Contractor since past eight which is also causing hardship to commuters as they are forced to stand below open sky facing hot sun and further would face more hardship in monsoon if work is not completed. The bus stand has remained neglected for quite some time, with various issues plaguing it.
