PONDA: Ponda local and social workers Viraj Sapre, Rock Dias, and John Mascarenhas today filed a Police complaint for road digging in Jaycee Nagar and other Parts of Ponda and surrounding Village Panchayats.
He said by 15 May, the development work should stop, and the road dug should be restored, but instead of this, the Goa Electricity Department started road digging at the time of monsoon, which would prove dangerous in the rainy season, which is to start in next few days.
He questioned the urgency of why the Power Minister and PWD Minister allowed digging the road at the time of monsoon.
He said there is no supervision by PWD and Power department engineers on the road digging due to which pipelines were broken at Jaycee Nagar.
In his complaint to the Police, Viraj said that in case of any fatal case due to road digging, the Officials should be held responsible for the work.
