PONDA: The Pondaitees have expressed concern over overflowing gutter and stench smell emanating at City main road opposite Kurtarkar Pharmacy and Dhavlikar agency at Kaziwada.
The Shopowner Ratnadeep Kurtarkar informed that it’s now four years they are forced to bear unbearable stench as gutter overflowing carrying sewage water of some hotels and residential area.
The Health Department inspected along PMC
With reference to the above subject the joint inspection was carried out by the Medical Officer Incharge alongwith the Sanitary Inspector of PHC Ponda & the Municipal Inspector of PMC Ponda on 06/05/2019. However so far no action into matter.
During inspection it was revealed that some hotels in surrounding area and one of the residential building are draining their waste water in public nullah which gets accumulated in front of the shops of Shri. D. Dhavalikar & Kurtarkar medical store creating bad odor & nuisance in surroundings.
The health department had directed Chief Officer of PMC to take necessary action but so far no solution to problem.
