BHOMA: Based on a state complaint filed by HC 5566 Santosh Patil of Mardol Police Station, an accident occurred on 24/12/2025 at around 8:00 am at Kalimati, Bhoma, Ponda.
The accused, Sairaj Metri, resident near Sugar Factory, Dharbandora, was riding an Activa scooter from Ponda towards Panaji in a rash and negligent manner. Upon reaching Kalimati, Bhoma, he allegedly dashed into a pedestrian woman, Sarita Naik, resident of Madbhatwada, Bhoma, Ponda, while she was crossing the road.
Due to the impact, Sarita Naik fell on the road and sustained a fracture injury to her right leg. She has been admitted to GMC Bambolim for treatment.
The rider Sairaj Metri and the pillion rider, Bhakti Gawas, resident near Sugar Factory, Dharbandora, also fell on the road and sustained simple injuries.
Further investigation is being carried out by HC 5566 Santosh Patil of Mardol Police Station.
