PONDA: Ponda Police, in a narcotic raid, has arrested an Orissa native in illegal possession of 488 grams suspected to be ganja worth Rs 48,000.
The police said they had received specific information that the accused would deliver the said drugs to a prospective customer. Accordingly, a trap was laid wherein the accused was caught red-handed.
The raid was conducted in the presence of Executive Magistrate Ponda.
The accused has been identified as Sunil Kumar s/o Rama Kumar Dora, age 31yrs Village Singipur Patapur Dist. Orissa.
“We have found 488 grams of Greenish Leafy Flower substances suspected to be “Ganja” worth Rs. 48,000 approximately,” said Ponda police.
