PONDA: Goa Forward Party has written to Health Minister Vishwajit Rane over the non-functioning of the lift and other facilities at Sub District Hospital at Ponda.
“It’s been over a month since the Lift at Sub District Hospital, Ponda, is not working. Patients are facing hardships due to the same,” said GFP Leader Durgadas Kamat.
He further said that they have learnt that repairs should be taken up due to non-payment of bills to the vendor.
He further said that this matter was earlier brought to the notice of authorities at the hospital by social activist Viraj Sapre from Ponda.
“Inspite of this, to date, it has not been repaired. We have also learnt that the repair work is pending due to non-payment of the earlier bills to the vendor,” he added.
Kamat said there are two generators at the hospital, which are not working.
“Requesting you to kindly visit the hospital and do an inspection. Hope you will do the needful, keeping in mind the problems faced by the patients,” he added.
