Old Goa: Police have registered a case against a man for allegedly assaulting his three minor children and threatening his two minor daughters with a koyta (sickle) at his residence in Primos Park, Khorlim.
According to police, the complaint was lodged by the children’s mother, a resident of Corlim originally from Andhra Pradesh, who alleged that on June 17, 2025, the accused, identified as Gurrayya Sagli, assaulted the children with his bare hands, causing them physical harm, and issued threats, subjecting them to mental harassment.
The case has been registered under Sections 115(2), 131, and 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, and Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act.
The investigation is being conducted by LPSI Laureen Sequeira.
