PANAJI: The Advocate for Jason Furtado today said that the whole incident which has been captured on CCTV has not been produced.
“My client had gone to this bar to get a beer, he also made the payment via UPI and the same was confirmed by the cashier but the waiter went beyond his rights and assaulted my client,” said Adv
He further said that the whole incident has been captured on CCTV but has not been produced in the case.
“We want to clarify this news as this version is no where in media,” said adv
The advocate also requested thd Chief Minister and SP North to look into this complaint of ours.
Jason speaking to the media said that the real version of the story is not out and Goans should support us in this case.
Porvorim police had registered an FIR against Jason Furtado and Jemmimah Vaz for allegedly abusing and assaulting cashier of a restaurant in Porvorim.
The duo also allegedly assaulted complainant and his friends with slaps, kicks and threatened them with dire consequences.
The video of the incident had gone viral across social media platforms. As per reports, an FIR was lodged against the accused by Porvorim police under the relevant sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
As per the authorities, the individuals engaged into an altercation with the cashier of the restaurant Goa Wine and Dine. Later, the couple assaulted and abused the restaurant cashier.
