MERCES: In order to draw attention to the problem of potholes on the roads in the St Cruz constituency, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) patched potholes at Moloca-Merces.
Amit Palekar, the president of AAP Goa, guided the party workers in using cement and rubble to fill in the potholes.
Palekar told reporters that they wanted to draw attention to the St Cruz constituency’s pothole problem, which is giving the residents a nightmare.
“We hope that the elected representatives will wake up and begin removing potholes in the constituency,” Palekar said.
“In case the elected representatives fail to take cognisance then our party will continue the campaign and remove all potholes in Santa Cruz, Merces and Chimbel,” Palekar added.
Additionally, he stated that elected officials ought to provide citizens with good roads by imitating the actions of AAP MLAs Benaulim and Velim.
“I urge the elected representatives of St Cruz to visit Benaulim and Velim to see for themselves the conditions of roads in both the constituencies,” Palekar told reporters.
