Panaji: With President of India Draupadi Murmu scheduled to arrive in Goa on December 27 and 28, 2025, the District Magistrate, South Goa, has enforced stringent aerial restrictions in sensitive locations to ensure foolproof security during the VVIP visit.
As part of the security protocol, aerial photography and videography, along with the operation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or drones in any form, have been completely prohibited within a two-kilometre radius of Dabolim International Airport. The ban also covers the key movement corridor from INS Hansa to the Zuari Bridge, which is expected to be used during the President’s travel.
The order has been issued in coordination with security agencies to prevent any potential aerial threats during the President’s stay and movement in the State. The restrictions will remain in force for the entire duration of the visit.
The district administration has appealed to the public, drone operators and media personnel to strictly comply with the directive, warning that violations will attract action under relevant legal provisions. Authorities have emphasized that the measures are purely precautionary and aimed at ensuring the safety and smooth conduct of the President’s visit to Goa.
