PANAJI: While stating that lockdowns and curfew severely impact lives if common men, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today said that prevention by following COVID appropriate norms & vaccination can defeat the virus.
“Prevention by following COVID appropriate norms & vaccination can defeat the virus. Lockdowns & curfews severely impact the lives of common men,” said Sawant
He further urged all the eligible citizens to get themselves vaccinated at the earliest.
“We have to fight strategically to ensure that both lives and livelihoods are protected,:”he added
He further said that going for a lockdown is not the solution and would lead to economic zero down.
Ruling out lockdown or night curfew in account of revival of State economy, the Chief Minister appealed
people to avoid public gatherings, functions, crowding to curb spread of Covid-19.
He said that police will ensure that social distancing and wearing of masks is maintained.
