PONDA: Month ago with less production last month the the favourite Mankuraad mango of Goans was sold at high prices since past more than month and beyond reach of Aam Admi with per dozen rates were Rs 2500,Rs 2000, Rs 1800, Rs 1500 and Rs 1000, but with bumper harvest of Mankuraad mango since past week the prices of Mankuraad Mango almost fall below Rs 500,RS 400 and Rs 300. giving relief to aam admi people.
After late harvest of crop due to climatic condition the mango lovers can be seen buying mango. The prices of other varieties of mango too falls below the prices of Mankuraad. With this large number of people are seen buying mango in Ponda Market.
As harvesting of Goan Mankuraad variety of mango makes its presence in Market with large quantity , the Prices of all other mango too falls below the prices of Mankurad.
The mango farmers said unprecedented rise in temperature in March for few days has affected pollination of mango blossoms, which has delayed their arrival in the market. But all this things are changed after harvesting of king mankurad with prices are fall to great extent.
People are seen busy in buying various varieties of mango including their preference to mankurad is seen in market.
