PANJIM: One of the Prime accused who also happens to be a Bollywood actor Kapil Jhaveri had met Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude.
Soon after the news of the raid spread across, picture’s of the actor surfaced on social media of him meeting CM and Art and Culture Minister.
However, Sawant has admitted the fact that he had met the actor and has clearly said that he has not interfered in the police investigation while stating that accused actor had met him as a chief minister.
Similarly, on the other hand Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude clarified “He had sought an appointment to invite me for inauguration Credit Society Branch. As a Min, I refrain from any act of endorsement, so I refused to accept the invitation.”
Crime Branch said that the rave party on Saturday late night was held at the residence of film actor Kapil Jhaveri, in Vagator.
In all 23 people including three foreigner women were arrested by police busting the rave party on Saturday night at a villa in Vagator village.
Judicial Magistrate First Class in Panaji on Sunday remanded 40-year-old Jhaveri along with three foreign national women for five days police custody, he said.
Saxena said that during the raid, drugs like cocaine, MDMA, charas and other chemical substance was recovered from the party venue.
