New Delhi: Mashal Sports has officially announced that the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12 player auction will take place on May 31 and June 1 in Mumbai. The auction marks the first step in preparations for the upcoming season following a memorable Season 11, which concluded with Haryana Steelers securing their maiden title by defeating three-time champions Patna Pirates on December 29, 2024.
Since its inception in 2014, the PKL has crowned eight different champions across 11 seasons, underscoring the league’s competitive spirit and growing fanbase. Season 11, held from October 18 to December 29, 2024, marked a significant milestone as the league entered its second decade, reinforcing its status as one of India’s premier sporting competitions.
Anupam Goswami, League Chairman of PKL and Business Head of Mashal Sports, said, “The Season 12 Player Auction is a critical platform for teams to display their strategic vision and competitive intent. It also continues to spotlight the global talent pool in India’s indigenous sport of kabaddi.”
Organized under the sanction of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI), PKL has become one of the most extensive and successful sports leagues in the country. With the highest number of matches among Indian leagues, PKL continues to elevate kabaddi and its athletes on both national and international platforms.
