PANAJI: The police investigation concerning the purported defamation of the Goa administration on different social media platforms has reached an impasse.
A few cell phone numbers that were reportedly used to post films on different social media platforms were the subject of an investigation by the Goa police.
After arriving in Haryana, the crime branch team went to Delhi. Unfortunately, the trail has dried up because the people who had the phone numbers weren’t familiar with social media. According to sources, these numbers were fraudulently utilized by an anonymous individual.
According to police, similar tactics have been employed in cybercrimes, particularly in relation to financial frauds.
According to sources, the videos emphasized the government’s alleged corruption, and several footage that showed the government’s extravagant expenditure on different events had appeared on social media.
A few of the movies emphasized the policies of the administration and the extension of contracts that are purportedly connected to corruption.
Some people posted these films on social media sites, purportedly in an effort to discredit the government. As a result, the state government ordered the police to investigate and find the person responsible.
On August 15, however, a social media influencer uploaded a video in which they claimed that the material related to
Goa was developed using the material and conversation from the most recent assembly meeting. According to a senior police official, no formal complaint was filed. On the other hand, a preliminary investigation was started as directed by the administration.
