CANDOLIM: A 41-year-old tourist from Punjab died after accidentally falling from the third floor of a hotel in Candolim early Tuesday morning.
Calangute Police registered UD No. 74/2025 under Section 194 BNSS after receiving a PCR call at around 4:06 am on 2 December 2025, informing that a guest had fallen from an upper floor of the hotel.
Police identified the deceased as Harinderjit Sharma (41), a resident of Ward No. 11, Jank Colony, PO Samana, District Patiala, Punjab. He had reportedly come to Goa on a holiday trip accompanied by family and friends.
Upon arrival at the scene, police found that Sharma had sustained fatal injuries from the fall. His body has been shifted to the GMC Morgue, Bambolim, where it has been preserved for post-mortem examination.
Further enquiry is being conducted by PSI Saieel Vaigankar to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
