BAINA: The much-awaited Purument Pop-Up Market, organized by Goa Sudharop in collaboration with Ravindra Bhavan, Baina Vasco, was inaugurated by MMC Councillor Shami Salkar in the presence of Ravindra Bhavan Chairman Jayant Jadhav and other esteemed dignitaries.
The market, which will be open to the public from March 24 to March 28, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, aims to promote local Goan entrepreneurs and traditional artisans. Visitors can explore an array of authentic Goan products, including coconut oil, vinegar, prawn moll, fish para, balchao, pickles, papads, homemade sweets, clothing, jewelry, artifacts, spices, handcrafted pottery, and more.
Speaking at the event, Councillor Shami Salkar emphasized the need to support local businesses and preserve Goan traditions. She encouraged the public to embrace homegrown products and appreciate the craftsmanship of Goan artisans. Chairman Jayant Jadhav reiterated Ravindra Bhavan’s commitment to fostering cultural and economic activities in Vasco, adding that such initiatives strengthen community ties and promote sustainable local enterprises.
The Purument Pop-Up Market serves as an ideal platform for both locals and tourists to experience Goa’s rich heritage while directly supporting small-scale entrepreneurs.
