Panaji: Goa Public Works Minister Digambar Kamat said that road projects worth around ₹7,700 crore were submitted to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari during his recent visit to Delhi, along with former Chief Minister U.P. Parsekar. Most of the proposals were accompanied by detailed project reports (DPRs).
Kamat also stated that 12 specific projects worth ₹102 crore were submitted to the Union Urban Development Minister, who has assured a personal review of the proposals. The files have already been forwarded to the Finance Minister for further action.
Highlighting ongoing maintenance efforts, Kamat added that all potholes on main roads have been cleared. He urged the public to report complaints via his mobile, promising resolution within 24 hours. “The condition of roads can win or lose elections,” he said, stressing the importance of citizen feedback and prompt governance.
