Margao: Parish Youth Nuvem secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Betalbatim Sports Club to enter into the semifinals of the 23rd edition of Bro Eulalia Vas Memorial football tournament Org by Don Bosco oratory Fatorda at their ground on Monday.
Parish Youth Nuvem drew first blood in the 15th minute of Play through the boots of Drawin Colaco with neat placement while Betalbatim missed the opportunity to level the terms in the 25th minute when Mhosin Shayed shot sail over the crossbar and Nuvem were leading 1-0 at the breather.
Changing over Betalbatim tried to find the equaliser but they failed to capitalize on chances when Keith Rodrigues, Gladson, and Jesus Ferrao couldn’t hit the target then Parish Youth Nuvem further inflated the lead through Meislein Barreto beat the defence and goalkeeper and placed the ball in open net in the 45th minutes of play. Later on, Betalbatim pulled one goal back when Mhosin Shayed powerful shoot from the edge of the box crushed in the net.
Parish Youth Nuvem meets Raia Sporting Club in the semifinal on 11th November 2024.
Drawing Colaco of Parish Youth Nuvem was awarded man of the match in the hands of Vincent Fernandes member of Don Bosco.
