Margao: Parish Youth Nuvem down Dicarpali Sports Club 6-4 via the tiebreaker to enter into the quarterfinals of the 30th Mandopa Cup org by Mandopa Sports Club and played at Mandopa Ground on Tuesday.
Dicarpali sports club scored the first goal in 2nd minute of play when Agnelo Colaco gave a cross pass to Delton Colaco who ran down and beat the Nuvem goalkeeper and placed the ball into the net but their joy shortlisted as Dicarpali defender brought down Nuvem player in the danger zone and referee pointed finger to the penalty spot. The penalty kick was well converted by Godfrey Mascarenhas and both teams remained 1-1 drawn at halftime.
In the second session of play, both teams wasted the opportunity that came their way and made way for a penalty shootout to decide the winner.
In the penalty shootout, PY Nuvem scored through Godfrey Mascarenhas, Melwyn Fernandes, Frazer Miranda, Rollan Noronha and Joywin Costa while William Niasso, Delton Colaco and Lyron Rocha found the net for Dicarpali.
