QUEPEM: In a significant breakthrough, the Quepem Police have arrested one of the three women involved in a jewellery theft case that had remained unsolved for over two and a half months.
The accused, Jaya Sachin Badgujar, was apprehended from Gujarwadi, Kurla in Pune, Maharashtra during a well-coordinated police operation.
The arrest led to the recovery of approximately 50% of the stolen gold ornaments, providing a major boost to the ongoing investigation.
The operation was led by PSI Digamber Bondre, with vital support from PC Ameer Naik, PC Pranay Naik, LPC Venna Datekar, and LPC Dikshita Zore.
Notably, the police team undertook the mission at their own personal expense, reflecting exceptional commitment and professionalism.
Efforts are ongoing to locate the remaining two accused and recover the rest of the stolen jewellery.
