MAPUSA: Rachel Sera Dsouza from Nachinola village, Aldona Constituency secures 5 Medals: 2 x Gold, 1 x Silver & 2 x Bronze at the recently concluded Championships organised by the Goa Swimming Association from 05th to 07th July 2024.
Rachel Sera Dsouza aged 10 from Nachinola village, Aldona Constituency, daughter of our renowned MC Savio Roy, has won 5 x Medals: 2 x Gold in 4×50 relay medley & in 4×50 relay freestyle; 1 x silver in 100 mtrs breaststroke 2 x Bronze for 50 mtrs breaststroke & 200 metres freestyle.
She is the first swimmer from Nachinola to win at state-level sub-juniors, and junior Girls medals in swimming.
Rachel is also the current 50 metres breaststroke School Gold medal winner ( DSYA) in 2023
She has broken the 100 mtrs breaststroke state record with a time of 1.59 seconds and she is perhaps the first girl from Aldona and Nachinola to cross the Mandovi River at the age of 10 years and 7 months.
