PANAJI: A 20-year-old youth from Rajasthan was found dead by suicide in a hotel room at Miramar on Sunday evening.
Police said they received a phone call from the PCR Panaji at around 4.49 pm on August 17, informing that a guest had allegedly ended his life by hanging at Hotel, Miramar.
A team from Panaji Police visited Room No. 401, 4th floor, where the deceased was found hanging from the ceiling fan. A panchanama of the scene was conducted.
On verifying documents found in his bag, the deceased was identified as Bhanwar Singh Jhala (20), son of Keshar Singh Jhala, resident of Lajpat Nagar, Kota, Rajasthan.
The body has been shifted to the GMC Morgue for preservation and post-mortem examination. PSI Mahesh Naik of Panaji Police Station is conducting further inquiry into the case.
