MANDREM: Aman Afridy, 24, a waiter from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, was taken into custody by Mandrem police during a narcotics operation at Mandrem Garden, Junaswada, Pernem, for allegedly holding 2.063 kg of ganja valued at about Rs 2 lakh.
PSI Pratik Garudi’s team carried out the raid between 1:45 and 4 in the morning, adhering to certain guidelines.
Afridy was discovered in possession of Rs 210 and a cell phone. He was taken into custody at 5:21 a.m. after adhering to Supreme Court orders.
A case has been filed under the 1985 NDPS Act. PSI Paresh Kale is looking into it.
