CANACONA: Canacona Ram Bhakts has decided to hold Shree Ram Rath Yatra on the eve of Ramnavmi on Saturday (the 5th April 2025 –Chaitra Shudha Ashtami) taking along Ram Lala on Canacona streets.
The Ram Rath Yatra will begin from Shree Sausthan Gokarna Partagali Jivottam Mutt, Partagal after Stapana and Puja at 7.30 am taking along Ram Lala (decked on a motorcade) along the Canacona streets and visit about 16 Devalayas of Canacona taluka on Saturday.
The schedule timeline of the yatra will be 8 am : Shree Saunsthan Gokarna Partagali Jivottam Mutt
8.15 am: Shree Parshuram Temple, Poinguinium, 8:30 am: Shree Laxmi Narayan Temple, Poinguinium, 9 am: Shree Nirakar Temple Mashem (Alpahaar), 9.30 am: Shree Keshav Damodar Temple, Loliem, 10.15 am: Shree Vitthal Rakhumai Temple, Rajbagh-Tarir, 10.45 am: Shree Devagipurush Temple, Patnem, 11.15 am: Bhumi Purush, Palolem, 12.10 : Shree Saraswati Temple, Dessaiwada-Agonda, 12:30 pm: Shree Vitthal Rakhumai Temple, Dhavalkhazan-Agonda, 1.00 pm: Shree Vitthal Rakhumai Temple, Saleri-Khola, 1:30pm: Shree Lakhaneshwar Temple, Mudkud-Agonda (Maha aarti, Mahaprasad), 2.45 pm: Hanuman Devasthan, Karashiramol-Agonda, 3.15 pm: Shree Bhumipurush temple, Gulem, 3:30 pm: Shree Maruti Temple, Chaudi, 4:00pm: Shree Mallikarjun Temple, Shristhal and at 4.30 pm : Shree Saunsthan Gokarna Partagali Jivottam Mutt
Addressing the press-conference at Tarir, Ram Rath Yatra convener Pankaj Naik Gaunkar alongwith core committee members informed the Ram Lala will take on a motorcade, while the participating devotees will follow it on motorbikes and Cars along the route.
Sunay Komarpant appealing to the women folk to actively take part in the Aarti of the Ram Lala further informed that the honour of beginning the Ram Rath Yatra will be given to new Devalayas every new year.
‘This is the 3rd year that Ram Lala Rath Yatra is taken out, last year it was taken out from Shri Mallikarjun Temple, this year from Gokarna Partagali Jivottam Mutt, next year it will be a different temple.’
Along With heads of various Devasthans/Devalayas of most of 16 participating temples, Nandeep Bhagat, Prathish Prabhudesai, Dilkush Shet, Ratnakar Dhuri were present amongst others.
