PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today has assured the smooth and efficient functioning of Goa Medical College and Hospital.
Rane today chaired a meeting with the doctors of Goa Medical College (GMC).
“Met with the doctors of GMC to address their concerns. I have assured them that we will take issues head-on and ensure smooth and efficient functioning of Goa Medical College and Hospital,” said Rane.
Rane said that the institute is presently under construction in the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) complex premises at Bambolim and is likely to be completed within the next 15-16 months.
“This is being built at the cost of around Rs 350 crore with financial support from the Centre; the facility will have 120 beds. Health Department needs around Rs 160 to Rs 200 crore to make the new Super-Specialty Hospital fully functional within the next two-three months,” he said.
