VASCO: Urban Development minister Vishwajit Rane on Tuesday evening laid the foundation stone of the two most awaited and long pending projects of the New Vasco Fish Market and Baina Powerhouse Project on his maiden official visit to the port town.
The foundation stones were laid by Rane on Tuesday evening in the presence of Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho, Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) Chairperson Leo Rodrigues, Municipal councillors and other dignitaries.
Speaking to the media, Rane assured that he would continue to support the projects put forth by Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar in the future as well.
“These are two long pending projects being taken under Goa state urban Development agency (GSUDA), and I must say that these works are taken because Salkar had a vision for Vasco and has been regularly following up on these projects,” he said.
