Mandrem: In a shocking turn of events in Goa, a young woman’s trust was betrayed by a friend who allegedly committed forceful sexual intercourse under the guise of a future marriage. The incident, which occurred from June 2024 to December 2024 at a guest house in Mandrem, was reported to the Mandrem Police Station on April 10, 2025.
The complainant, a 29-year-old, claimed that 25-year-old Avinash Vaydande, whom she befriended, took advantage of her trust and left her pregnant.
The police have registered a case under relevant sections of law and are conducting further investigations under the supervision of LPSI Archana Sharma.
