Curchorem: A scooter rider sustained injuries after a Toyota car allegedly driven in a rash and negligent manner collided with his vehicle at Khamamol junction in Curchorem on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a complaint filed by ASI Prashant Kalekar of Curchorem Police Station, the incident occurred on 11/02/2026 at around 12:10 hrs. The accused, identified as Eknath Gaude, a resident of Keri, Ponda, was driving his Toyota car from Curchorem towards Sanvordem when he reportedly drove without proper care and caution, endangering human life.
Upon reaching Khamamol junction, the car allegedly dashed into an ongoing Pleasure scooter ridden by Paul Carvalho, a resident of Khamamol, Curchorem. As a result of the impact, Carvalho sustained injuries.
Curchorem Police have registered a case in connection with the accident. Further investigation is being carried out by ASI Prashant Kalekar of Curchorem Police Station.
