PANAJI: Panaji Police have registered a case after a 24-year-old woman rider suffered grievous injuries in an accident at KTC Circle last month.
The FIR, filed on December 2 based on a complaint by Manuella M. L. Fernandes of Fontainhas, states that the mishap occurred on November 19, 2025, between 4:34 pm and 4:45 pm. Fernandes was heading from KTC towards Divja Circle on her Ather scooter (GA-07-AM-8160) when a Swift Dzire (GA-08-V-8759) allegedly driven rashly rammed into her at the junction.
The collision left her with serious injuries to her left leg, police said.
FIR copies have been submitted to the JMFC, Panaji, and other senior officers. Further investigation is underway under HC Babu B. Madanwar (5717).
