SADA: A case of rash and negligent driving was reported at Sada Junction, Mormugao, resulting in injuries to two individuals.
According to the complaint filed by Head Constable Hemant Gosavi of Mormugao Police Station, the incident occurred when a motorcyclist, identified as Tarnilal Chauhan, a resident of Thana Cortalim, Goa, but a native of Assam, attempted to overtake a tanker bearing registration number GA-02-V-7667. Chauhan, who was riding a Hero Honda Passion motorcycle (registration number GA-06-B-4104), reportedly tried to pass the tanker from the left side as the tanker was preparing to make a left turn toward Bogda.
The tanker’s driver had already indicated the turn with a left indicator. However, the motorcycle collided with the rear left wheel of the tanker, resulting in the rider and his pillion passenger, Sahabu Chauhan, sustaining injuries.
The Mormugao Police have registered an offense under sections 281, 125(a), and 125(b) of the BNS Act. The case is currently under investigation, with further inquiries being conducted by Head Constable Hemant Gosavi.
