MARGAO: A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered at Margao Town Police Station following an accident at Khareband on December 20, 2025, at around 8.20 pm.
According to a complaint lodged by HC 5290 Prasanna Prabhugaonkar, the accused driver, Anand Reddy, a resident near Maria Hall, Benaulim, originally from Uttar Pradesh, was driving a Tata Tiago EV in a rash and negligent manner, endangering human life.
While proceeding from Rawanfond junction towards Benaulim via Khareband road, the car allegedly dashed into a Tata V-30 mini pick-up moving in the same direction.
After the initial collision, the Tiago EV went on to ram into multiple vehicles parked in front of Raviraj Café at Khareband, Margao. As a result, two occupants of the Tata Tiago, including the driver, sustained bleeding injuries. The accident also caused damage to two cars, three scooters, and one mini pick-up.
Further investigation in the matter is being carried out by HC 5290 Prasanna Prabhugaonkar of Margao Town Police Station.
