PANAJI: Minister Micheal Lobo today clarified that he had personally had not heard anything about possible cabinet reshuffle while claiming that he ready to step down to give chance to any MLA who feels they would not be re-elected in the 2022 elections.
“I personally had not heard anything about possible cabinet reshuffle while claiming that he ready to step down to give chance to any MLA who feels they would not be re-elected in the 2022 elections,” said Lobo after the cabinet meeting
He further said that false rumours are being spread about the possible cabinet reshuffle and that if any MLA feels they won’t be re-elected in 2022 and want to fulfill their wish of becoming Minister.
“I think that code will be implemented after 20th December and if anyone wants to be minister for 8 days can freely contact me. I am ready to resign and give chance,” he added
Speaking on the COVID-19 vaccination, he said that authorities do not check on vaccination certificates at Railways while stating that certificates are tested thorougly checked at Goa airport.
When asked about himjoining the TMC,Lobo said that anything can happen on the social media.
Lobo further said that a week ago a proposal was placed before the cabinet to hand over the maintenance and operations of the central jail complex to a private party.
“The CM told me that nothing will be outsourced and it will remain with the state government,” he said, adding that a formal statement on this would be issued shortly by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC),” he said
