Agacaim: Agacaim Police have registered a cheating and assault case against a real estate company and ten individuals for allegedly defrauding a sales consultant of her dues and assaulting her in connection with a senior living housing project in Tiswadi.
The complaint was lodged by Shikha Sharma (54), a resident of La Oceana Colony, Dona Paula, who stated that between August 1, 2024, and August 31, 2025, she was employed as a Sales Consultant by Prescon Homes Pvt. Ltd. for its senior living project “IKIGAI” at Azossim, Tiswadi. Sharma alleged that she was promised a fixed salary along with 1.5 percent incentive on every residential unit sold.
According to the complaint, after successfully facilitating the sale of 156 residential units, the accused persons — Prescon Homes Pvt. Ltd., along with Nirmal Kedia, Vijay Khowala, Vinay Kedia, Surendra Kedia, Puja Naik, Manasum Senior Living LLP, Sumathy Anantharam, Anantharam Varayur, Kushal Ramesh, and Eric Botelho — allegedly failed to pay her the agreed incentives. The complainant further stated that the accused not only cheated her but also threatened and assaulted her, thereby outraging her modesty.
Sharma also alleged that the accused persons altered the sales transaction structure from a Sale Agreement to a Marketing & Underwriting Agreement in order to evade government taxes, thereby cheating the government exchequer.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and further investigation is being conducted by PSI Rushikesh Raikar of Agacaim Police Station.
