The Office of the Home Guards & Civil Defence Organisation, Police Head Quarters, Panaji has commenced a fresh drive, for enrolment of new ‘Civil Defence Corps/Volunteers’ in the Civil Defence organization for increasing the strength of the Civil Defence Volunteers of Panaji and Mormugao town.
The Candidates interested to enroll themselves as ‘Civil Defence Corps / Volunteers’ should be a Citizen of India, should have completed the age of 18 years; which may be relaxed at the discretion of the competent authority upto a maximum of 3 years, should have passed at least the primary standard and this condition may also be relaxed at the discretion of the competent authority, should be physically fit and mentally alert. Both men and women are be eligible for appointment to the Corps.
Every person eligible for appointment as ‘Civil Defence Corps/Volunteers’ is required to apply in form ‘A’ which are made available with all the talathiS, Municipal Councils and Police Stations in Goa. Employed Candidates will be required to produce a certificate from their employer agreeing to spare his/their service for training and duty, when so required.
The filled in application forms, complete in all respects, should be submitted to the talathi of the respective village or Municipal Council or the respective Police Station, within Goa, having Jurisdiction over the place of Residence of the respective Candidate, for onward submission to the office of the Civil Defence Organisation at Panaji, latest by March 31, 2021, for further processing of these application.
The Citizens are also at liberty to directly approach the dealing hand in the office of the Civil Defence Organization at Panaji for enrollment and to obtain any information/details.
